Description

The Thomas Jefferson Memorial building is a regal and sophisticated reminder and celebration of the life of one of America's founding fathers. Author of the Declaration of American Independence and America's third President, Jefferson's Memorial is a large marble and granite building bordered and supported by tall pillars. Inside, there is a museum in dedication to Jefferson's life and his legacy which affects us all to this day.

Seeing the memorial is a wonderful way to spend an hour or two in an area that vibrates with the celebration of victory and accomplishment. The museum in the lower lobby is full of intricate information about Jefferson's life and works, all of which are meant to be symbolized by the massive structure housing his memory.
